Why have I not been sent a detailed programme booklet?

In previous years, we sent a printed booklet with our full detailed programme by post to every household.  To reduce waste and unnecessary expenditure, this year the detailed programme can be found online, by using the QR code, or by clicking here.

We encourage you to use this programme to plan your journey through the High Holy Days.

If you are unable to access the online programme, please contact the synagogue office and we will send you a printed copy.

Does this mean I will need to use my phone on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur?

We ask that members do not use electronics in or around services on Shabbat or festivals.

As in the past, printed copies of the programme will be available in our service locations, and detailed information will also be included in our shul sheets.

What do I need to bring?

To facilitate quick entry to our service locations, we ask that you bring tickets with you.  If you do not bring the ticket, you may need to wait for a short while as your details are checked at security.

If you cannot find your ticket, please contact us on 020 8457 8794 or at alythadmin@alyth.org.uk.  If you do not think you have been sent the right number of tickets, please also use these contact details.

Why can’t I stay in the marquee all day on Yom Kippur?

About 200-300 of our members like to stay in the marquee throughout Yom Kippur day.  Our afternoon choral service will move to the Akiva Hall to enable families to use the marquee for the afternoon service.

The marquee will be reset by our facilities team after the morning service, and then reset again with a greater number of chairs to allow us to gather for Yizkor and Neilah.

Why do I need to sign my child in and out of the Youth Hub?

We have carried out a review of risk on the Sternberg Centre site and updated our procedures accordingly.  Everyone in School Year 8 or younger will be asked to sign into the Youth and Education Hub space in the Manor House and will be allowed to leave only when signed out by an adult.

When in the care of the Alyth Youth and Education team we will ask our members to wear an Alyth wristband so that they are recognisable as Alyth members.

Alyth will have responsibility for children when they are under the supervision of the Youth and Education Hub team.  Please note:  When children are around the site, they are the responsibility of parents/carers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
