    Shabbat Morning Service

    10:30-12:15

Our regular Shabbat morning service is a contemporary Reform service led by one of our Rabbis, normally accompanied by our volunteer choir and the piano, with a combination of reading, chanting, song and reflection.

On most weeks there is also a parallel service, meeting the different needs of the community. Occasionally these services take place in our main Beit Tefillah.

    Shabbat Shiur: Not Yet Disabled

    09:15 – 10:15

Whatever we are able to do now may easily challenge us one day.  Stairs will be unclimbable, voices will be hard to hear, our vision will blur.  Yet every one of us will still have all of our experience, care and wisdom to offer to our communities.  How do Jewish texts guide us in adapting for disability, ensuring Jewish life is open to all?

With Rabbi Mark who taught this session at Limmud in 2016.

    Shacharit with Torah Study

    10:30 – 12:15

Rabbi Colin leads a parallel service with full Shacharit (morning prayers) and the opportunity to read and study Torah. This week, in Parashat Va’y’chi, the end of the Book of Genesis, Jacob blesses his children as they take on the mantle of the Jewish people and become the Tribes of Israel.
