Amir Shlomian: How we can meet the other

    17:15 – 18:05

We are delighted to welcome Amir Shlomian to Alyth. Amir is the founder of Ein Bustan, an association that runs bilingual (Arabic and Hebrew) kindergartens. Amir is an inspiring teacher, musician and peacemaker, with years of experience in listening circles with Jewish and Arab communities.

Join us  when Amir will speak about his experiences in building Ein Bustan, and share techniques he has used in creating shared space for Arabs and Jews in which children and adults can meet and listen with one another.

Amir will also spend time with our Ruach Erev Shabbat group during their z’man kehillah (communal time immediately before the service) and will give the d’var torah in our Erev Shabbat service.

    Erev Shabbat Ba-Bayit

Please bring a non-meat dish to share and let bonnie@alyth.org.uk know that you are coming and how many people you are bringing.

    Erev Shabbat Service

    18:30 – 19:30

All generations of the Alyth community come together every Friday night for our Kabbalat Shabbat (Shabbat Evening) service.  The service begins at 18:30 and is no more than one hour in length.  With participative music, a thoughtful Dvar Torah, time to think and a powerful sense of community, this is one of the best-attended and most rewarding Shabbat services in the whole of London.
