Come and join us this Mitzvah Day on Sunday 27 November – give just your time and energy to make our world a better place.

Cook-In

Location     Alyth Kitchens

Beneficiaries:

  • Homeless Action Barnet,
  • Alyth Drop-In for Refugees,
  • Gemach (food for the synagogue to hand out as required to people who are ill at home or in need for other reasons)

This is always a fun and rewarding event. Volunteers will be asked to participate in the preparing of various main and dessert dishes. Once they have volunteered they will be sent a separate email confirming what to bring, like aprons etc as well as any contributions to the ingredients required that they can.

We aim to cook a meal here at Alyth for 50 clients of Homeless Action Barnet, we envisage making pasta bakes, macaroni cheese, chocolate pudding and biscuits (these may alter slightly!) as well as 4 pasta bakes for the Alyth Monthly Drop-In for refugees as well as some food for the Alyth gemach freezer.

We would appreciate any help that can be given before and after the Cook-In for preparation and tidy-up!
