Accessibility Statement

We aim to ensure that all activities of the Synagogue are accessible to all.  If you find that the current accessibility arrangements of the Synagogue do not meet your needs, please do not hesitate to contact our Community Director, Click to contactLynette Sunderland, who will be delighted to work with you on how we can help.

Hearing:  During all services our Synagogue is equipped with a Hearing Loop.

Wheelchair Accessibility:  Our whole building is flat floor with a lift to enable access to the first floor.  Currently the Glossary definitionBimah has three steps required for access; however we are able to obtain a ramp for access when required.  We aim to remodel the Bimah to incorporate a ramp in the near future.  Our forecourt can be used by wheelchair users to for pick up and drop off or for parking where necessary.  There is a toilet especially accessible to wheelchair users on the ground floor.

Sight:  Large print Glossary definitionSiddurim are available at all services.  At the top of every page on this web site there is a symbol A+ and A- which enables you to increase the size of the fonts used. 

Special Learning Needs:  You are welcome to join any of our Alyth Adult Education programmes if you have special learning needs.  Your child is welcome to participate in our Cheder and other children’s programmes whatever their learning needs.  This, of course, includes our Bar and Bat Glossary definitionMitzvah programme.  Please speak with our Director of Education, Bebe Jacobs so that we can do our best to meet your needs.
