    Mitzvah Day

    10:00 – 13:00

    Mitzvah Day for Adults
Cook-In for the Homeless: A fun-filled cook-in at Alyth in the morning from 10:00-13:00. We will be preparing food for the Alyth and Golders Green Parish Church Homeless Shelter to be served throughout the winter. Help to make the meals that make a difference.
Sunshine to Seniors: Our Alyth Youth Singers will be visiting Jewish Care’s Rosetrees Home to entertain residents.
The Listening Project: Drop in for coffee and cake in the Library anytime between 10:00-12:30. Trained Alyth members will be holding conversations to hear members’ thoughts and experiences of how mental health issues are handled in our community and society. We need to hear from you! The aim is to identify key issues on which to focus in a future social action project. See this week’s Thought for the Week to find out more.
Housing Needs Tour of Barnet Borough: Register with Bonnie at bonnie@alyth.org.uk to join people from the Hendon School and Ayesha Muslim Community School on a mini-bus tour starting at 12:30 from Alyth and returning at 14:30 to show you some of the housing challenges being faced on our own doorstep. We will visit some of the homes in our borough which show how difficult life can be without proper housing and meet some of the people who are campaigning for change with North London Citizens, of which Alyth is a member. A light lunch will be provided.
