    Shacharit and Bagel Breakfast

    The Sunday morning Shacharit service starts at 9.00am in the Synagogue library.  It is a welcoming, inclusive, lay led service that includes time for discussion, learning and praying together.  Many take the opportunity to lay Teffilin at this time.

    After the service, the group meets for a bagel and coffee in the kitchen.

    Life Begins at 60: Retirement Planning

    This retirement seminar, run at Alyth in conjunction with the Jewish Volunteering Network, UJIA, NLP Financial Management and NNLS, includes a Keynote session from Rosalind Preston OBE on “Living life to the Full”. There will also be sessions by Lynette Sunderland, Alyth’s Director of Welfare & Life Cycle on “Beginning a new chapter: Transitioning into retirement”, Leonie Lewis MBE on “The experiences through and for life”, Harvey Bratt on “Where there’s a will… legal and tax issues relating to the will making process”, and by Adam Katten on “Feeling financially secure in retirement”

    Midrash is the rabbinic exercise of biblical interpretation, creating new ideas and stories out of the biblical text. Join Rabbi Josh as we look at these highlights of rabbinic creativity over Danish, fruit and coffee.

    School Years Rec-6. Our Sunday morning learning programme is a nourishing space for young people to build, develop and explore their Jewish identity. We also introduce the students to Hebrew, working with them to develop reading skills as well as familiarity with some of Judaism’s sacred texts and liturgy.
