Zionist Tour of London on Yom HaAtzmaut

    17:30 – 20:30

Experience the development of the Jewish State without leaving London! Rabbis Colin and Mark invite you to join them on a coach tour of the places where London contributed to the birth of the State of Israel.

Stops on the tour, amongst others, include the homes of Moses Montefiore, who founded modern Jerusalem, Arthur Balfour, whose letter to Lord Rothschild in 1917 paved the way for the end of the British Mandate, and the home of the Ambassador of Israel. We will be received into the home of Chaim Weizmann, the first President of Israel, as guests of its current residents. We end at Alyth by drinking a toast to Israel’s birthday with a live video link to Israel!

This guided tour, all transport and refreshments costs £12 per person. Please book with Bonnie in the Alyth office at bonnie@alyth.org.uk or 020 8457 8784.

(For all those post B’nei Mitzvah)

Written especially for Alyth by our Rabbis and the Youth and Education Hub. This is a two year rolling programme to deepen every aspect of Jewish life.  This year’s programme starts with a critical look at the Jewish calendar.  Other topics for the year include prayer and liturgy, Jewish history, and Jewish life and ritual.
