Like an extended family
Officially known as North Western Reform Synagogue, our synagogue is an open partnership between our 2100 adult members and 900 child members with our team of professional staff and three dynamic Rabbis. Many members of Alyth speak of this community as being like an extended family for them. We, the members and staff of this Synagogue hope to welcome you into this family.
This is your community
Alyth includes activities for every age and interest; Jewish worship for all, Jewish learning for all, Jewish social activities for all, Jewish culture and music for all. The size of our community and our seventy five years of tradition mean that we are able to welcome you to a very wide diversity of ways of enjoying the life of our community.
Rabbi Mark Goldsmith, Rabbi Laura Janner-Klausner and Rabbi Josh Levy invite you to contact any one of us so that we can help you to find your feet in Alyth and to begin to feel that this is your community. Rabbi Chananya Ben Teradion said that when two people sit together and words of Torah pass between them, the presence of God rests between them also. We hope that the time that you spend in our community helps you to find the spiritual fulfilment that you may need.
Always available to you
We aim always to be available to be your Rabbis, when you want to find out about a Synagogue programme, when something significant has happened in your life for which the support of a Rabbi might be helpful or when you have an idea for how our community can develop. Through the Alyth Careline in partnership with Lynette Sunderland, Community Director, one of us is available 24 hours a day, every day.
