Mellow Yoga for all Ages

Is aimed at the mature student – but open to seekers of mellow yoga of all ages.  Increase energy levels, fitness and immunity, improve joint flexibility and enhance your overall mental and physical wellbeing. Each session includes gentle and effective breathing stretching, relaxation and meditation. Less active participants can do all movements sitting in a chair.

Time: Thursdays from 11:00 – 12:00

Cost: £8 Alyth members and £12 for others per session

 

General (hatha) Yoga

Suitable for beginners, as well as those with more experience who want to re-visit the fundamental principles of yoga.  The groups are kept small, to permit personal attention (if so desired) and to and to work to the specific needs and interests of the group.  Each class includes yoga postures, breathing practices and a relaxation period at the end of the session.

Time: Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:00 and 18:15 – 19:45, and Thursdays from 9:30 – 10:30

Cost: £13-£16

 

Pregnancy Yoga

Suitable for all levels of fitness and for all stages of pregnancy from 12 weeks, this antenatal yoga offers expert preparation for labour, birth and motherhood. It includes helps build stamina, strength, and flexibility, whilst calming the mind and improving your general energy levels and well being.

Time: Tuesdays from 20.00 – 21.30

Cost: £14 per session

 

Postnatal Yoga with baby (1-6 months) and Postnatal Yoga with baby crawler (7-10 months)

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. Now it’s time to support your recovery with Postnatal Yoga classes with your baby. The focus is on you, the mum, in both classes.  Numbers are limited to 4-6 mums & babies to ensure you get the most from the sessions. Come with or without your baby.

Time: Tuesdays from 11:15 – 12:30
Time: Thursdays 9.30 – 10.30

 

Kavannah Yoga

Join Rabbi Mark and Alyth’s yoga teacher, Maxine Levy for a fusion of body, mind and spirituality with Yoga practices and Jewish wisdom.   Kavannah Yoga is accessible for anyone, whatever their yoga experience.  No special clothing is required.   These session will focus on the heart, its meaning and function.
