“Bringing my child to Alyth Kindergarten, was the best thing we ever did”
Moran and Dor

Alyth Kindergarten was established in 1970 to provide pre-school progressive Jewish education for Jewish children.  The kindergarten’s outstanding reputation has grown over the years and continues to maintain its unique position in the area for its child-centred and caring approach which is why we cap our K1 and K2 group sizes to 24 in each class.

Ofsted OutstandingThe Kindergarten was awarded ‘Outstanding’ in their 2023 Ofsted inspection, Click here to see the report.

Alyth Kindergarten is an important part of our Early Years provision and has strong links to the other areas of Alyth life.

Building work on the Alyth site during 2023-24

The long-awaited renewal of the south wing of the Alyth building is finally underway. Building work started in April 2023 and is expected to be completed by the end of May 2024. The Synagogue and Kindergarten are both continuing to operate as normal during the works. This is made easier as the main construction activity is taking place on the opposite side of the site to the Kindergarten. Our contractor, Borras Construction, have extensive experience of building for schools and local authorities, and understand the importance of prioritising the safety and wellbeing of our Kindergarten children and teachers, and the many members and visitors who come to Alyth on a daily basis. Parents will be kept up to date with the progress of the work. Regular updates are posted on Alyth’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
