Let’s Talk about Death

On Sunday 5 March Alyth held an afternoon of workshops and discussions exploring managing uncertainty towards the end of our lives, the choices that are available for our final resting place, end of life practicalities, and the customs and practices surrounding death in Judaism.  The Keynote Address was given by Dr Adrian Tookman, Medical Director of the Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead.  After, there were workshops on The Customs Around Death and Bereavement, with Rabbis Josh Levy & Lee Sunderland, The Jewish Joint Burial Society, Rabbi Mark Goldsmith & Mitzi Kalinsky, End of Life Choices, Jewish Care, Rabbi Colin Eimer & Louise Heilbron, and Chevra Kadisha, Rabbi Maurice Michaels & Rabbi David Soetendorp.
