Alyth Kindergarten enjoy Farm Visit

Alyth Kindergarten in Golders Green, which was recently awarded “outstanding” in Ofsted’s 2015 report, had a visit from Ark Farm based in Bedfordshire.

They erected a pen for the lambs, goats, “Dash” the donkey, geese and ducks and also brought along a beautiful barn dog and some one month old chicks.

All the Kindergarten children enjoyed learning about the animals and were treated to time inside the pen to pet the animals.

Deputy Head, Tor Alter said: “This is one of the highlights of the year.  The children get so excited to see the animals on ‘their’ premises.  It’s a wonderful interactive and educational experience for the children”. The children’s learning covers all the areas of learning under the Early Years Foundation stage.
